Puppy Training Program - Marilyn

Something vital to the success of dogs and puppies alike is their name. Not learning this at an early stage in their live is incredibly detrimental, but so far Marilyn had been pretty attentive to her name and other various cues. Juinevere wanted so bad to call her "little Lyn" but refrained until she was absolutely sure that this girl knew her name, and knew it well. The puppy was allowed to sniff about for a little while before the handler was given the cue to call her dog. "Marilyn!" Her tone was not completely flat but not too excited either. Upon hearing the word, the dalmatian raised her head and looked toward her handler, her slightly pudgy body turning before bouncing over to the person who had said the name. "Yes!" She was free to resume her previous sniffing.

After the spotty pup's attention was taken from whatever her nose was keen on and focused back on her handler she was put into a sit-stay and made to wait. Of course the wait was not extremely long but the length was just long enough from what Juinevere has always been practising with puppies of this age. Marilyn sat back in quite a lazy fashion after about 10 seconds of knowing that there was going to be a separation. Lazy pup. Within what seemed like ages to the youngin', her handler returned and gave her a release cue signifying that she had done exactly what she should have.
